Bilingual Accounting Manager

Core Responsibilities: Ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings. Management of internal controls. Bank and GL Reconciliations. Journal Entry Preparation. Generate trial balances & distribute to CFO. Oversee preparation of intercompany monthly financials. Oversee preparation of selling expense reports. Monitor and make recommendations to advance vendor credit limits. Review fixed asset depreciation schedule. Analyze information for borrowing base. Monitor cash requirements. Identify delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts.

Management and Internal Controls: Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Departments. Hire, train and supervise accounting staff. Interface with multiple departments. Maintain internal controls over accounting transactions. Maintain the general ledger system. Streamline accounting processes by developing and implementing accounting procedures.

Compliance Responsibilities: Coordinate external financial and bank audits. Coordinate and oversee the preparation of year-end audit working papers including assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditures. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings.

Other Responsibilities: Assist Director of Accounting with the preparation of operating budget. Responsible for coding general liability, property tax, accounting services invoices. Work on special projects as assigned by Director of Accounting/CFO.

Leadership: Help SFI to effectively build organization and staff capacity, developing a high performance workforce and the processes that ensures the organization runs smoothly and is aligned with the company’s mission, goals and strategies.

Employee Development & Career Path Planning: Ability to proactively shape the future role of each employee within the organization, identifying talent and building a development plan consistent with the growth of the organization

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from four year college or university required, with six to eight years related, progressive background and experience. Bi-lingual Spanish/English. Supervisory background required.
