The Import Logistics Coordinator is a detailed oriented self-motivated team player able to work across department lines, providing best in class service to our internal and external customer base. The Import Logistics Coordinator will work independently within broad guidelines, function effectively under constant time constraints and have the ability to work on a number of initiatives at once.

The position will monitor and coordinate daily activity of imported ocean containers into their assigned port(s), troubleshoot problem shipments, formulate solutions and notify appropriate stakeholders. This includes managing relationships with drayage companies to avoid demurrage fees, and recommending processes and concepts to improve efficiencies, cost savings and profitability.

Additionally, the position will coordinate domestic shipments with truck carriers throughout the country, to ensure product is picked up and delivered in a timely manner. Follow up on status of loads once scheduled and update internal sales, and purchasing groups of any issues that may affect the customer requirements. The position is responsible for gathering relevant shipping and receiving information from the various carriers and warehouses, as well as the accuracy of completeness of this information entered into the system.


The Global Sourcing Manager conducts continuous strategic communication with suppliers and integrates supplier and sales team needs. Plans and manages programs by commodity. Utilizes industry knowledge and acquired contacts to develop sustainable sourcing relationships to support company growth, via Supply and Sales Driven Opportunities.Evaluates potential supply options, price negotiation, awards and manages contracts.Develops and implements supply strategic planning initiatives.

The CBM manages and supports assigned business lanes and core customers; serves as primary point of contact between customer and Superior Foods; is responsible for main aspects of respective lanes and customers’ business including: order entry, contracting, building pricing models and negotiating contracts, long-term planning, travel to trade shows and customer meetings, as well as drive service optimization and efficiency. The CBM builds and maintains customer relationships with appropriate contacts to ensure the lane is successful in developing new sales leads and re-contracting of existing business. Lastly, the CBM partners with the each lane’s Sales Lead to ensure that their respective lanes help drive profitability and hit our overall goals for sales, margin, and outstanding customer service.

This position assists Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety and is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of products sold by Superior Foods, International by evaluating quality systems and programs; collecting documents to satisfy customer requests; assessing microbiological results of each shipment; investigating customer complaints and claims; creating corrective actions and assisting in development of suppliers' food safety and quality systems.
